On behalf of Millette Conrad's Family, Friends and the entire Fairview & Reynolds Community .... I extend an invitation to help contribute to the costs associated with her funeral, medical, kids, etc FOURTEEN YEAR battle with cancer, it is unimaginable her daily struggle not only mentally, physically but financially. 2017 February 3 - a text message we shared, impart described her four-hour weekly/monthly drives to Atlanta (hotel, food, gas) to the CTCA (Cancer Treatment Centers of America): "for the past three years I have been going back and forth to Atlanta and it is very expensive but I have faith in my doctors there. I've been stage IV for 4 years. They're just trying to keep me stable. My blood counts are up & down but I am stable for the most part." We talked briefly about her kids and how much she loved them and how proud she was of THEIR strength at such a young age, yet saddened by the same ... "My baby boy will be 20 on Sunday, two still in college and one married. We all deal with my cancer differently and the best we can". It was well past both our bedtimes and as we said our good nights she said ... "Please keep me in your prayers. This isn't a cake walk and most days I just pray to wake up to find it's all been just a long, long dream. I have a saying this too shall pass, or I will". Millette was the bravest, most amazing woman any of us will ever have the privilege of knowing. Simply a beautiful woman. Godspeed my dear friend! You have no idea the impact you made upon us all, how deeply you were loved and how much you'll be missed.
