UPDATE: I promised to let you know where the funds are being used so here's an update on what has been received and spent so far. Received: $1200 Red Cross (used to purchase older travel trailer for Jami and daughter, needs some work but ok) $1200 Red Cross $500 St. Vincent $3000 Loan from relative (All used to purchase travel trailer for Miranda, Skyer and their babies $4500 trailer + $200 misc. things needed) $660 cash from friends and relatives (Used to help pay deposit and space rent for Miranda's family to live up RV park) Both trailers are small and older so not good for long term but at least they have a place to stay. Expenses still ongoing: $500 Remove power from burned trailee (Meloni paid) $3000 Remove burned trailer (estimate was about $2100 but Republic Services has made getting dumpsters dumped so difficult that everything has been delayed and more expensive) $3800 Reconnect power and add RV plug (Park owner will pay half) $4900 Current expenses not covered $2410 Current go fund me me balance $2490 Additional Needed to cover expenses. I have covered small misc expenses myself, the family is working so they have purchased things needed too. The community was very gorgeous with cloths and food for immediate needs. I'm thankful to everyone for your kindness through this difficult time. _____ Hi my name is Meloni. On Wed July 5th my sisters home was completely gutted by fire. At the time of the fire my sister Jami, her 13 year old daughter, her 30 year old daughter and her family including a 2 year old boy with special needs and a 3 mo old baby girl were living in the home. Unfortunately the home was not insured due to its age. They are working but unable to afford rents in our area. My sister has contacted local charities, DHS and red cross with no long term solutions for housing. Red cross has offerrd a couple days and others have offered food and clothes but the real need is housing. I am attempting to raise funds to have the burnt trailer removed and to purchase a travel trailer for part of the family to live in.
