Dear Friends and Supporters, I am writing to you today with a heavy heart to share the story of my childhood friend, Michelle Gustavson. She is not just a friend to me, but a sister who has always been there through thick and thin. Unfortunately, life has thrown some unimaginable challenges her way, and I am reaching out to ask for your help and support during this trying time. Michelle has been bravely battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for several years, but her journey has become even more difficult with the recent diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis. Her medical condition is a constant struggle, and the treatments are proving to be challenging to manage. Despite her unwavering spirit, she is unable to work due to her health conditions, which have left her home and medical bills piling up. As if her health issues weren't enough to bear, Michelle has also endured the heartbreaking loss of both her parents unexpectedly. The grief from this tremendous loss adds to the weight she is already carrying. Michelle is a kind and loving person who has always put others before herself. Throughout her life, she has been a hard worker, dedicating herself to supporting her family and friends. She has been the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and now she is the one in need of our support. Currently, Michelle is in the process of applying for disability benefits, but the approval process is taking much longer than expected. The financial strain is immense, and she is worried about her ability to keep up with her medical expenses and essential living costs. The cost of her medications alone is exorbitant, and the MS infusions she requires cost $1600 each time. In addition, Michelle was laid off from her job in February, and her condition has caused her to be in and out of hospitals, further complicating her financial situation. Despite these challenges, Michelle remains resilient and is working with lawyers to try to secure disability benefits in a timely manner. The hope is to get approved on the first attempt, saving her from the stress of reapplying multiple times. In addition, she has to purchase various items to assist her with her daily life, such as walkers, canes, and other aids to manage her MS symptoms. Due to the overwhelming expenses, she has had to go without some of these essential items. That's why I am reaching out to our community and beyond. Let's come together and extend our love, generosity, and support to Michelle during this incredibly challenging period in her life. Your donations will go directly to easing the burden of her medical bills, helping her with her living expenses, and providing some financial relief during her journey toward disability approval. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in Michelle's life. Your kindness and compassion will not only alleviate her financial stress but also remind her that she is not alone in this battle. Please consider sharing this LFEBridge campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues to amplify our efforts. Let's show Michelle that she has an entire community standing with her, supporting her every step of the way. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers, and donations. Together, we can make a significant impact in Michelle's life and bring hope back into her world. With heartfelt gratitude, Cassie and the community supporting Michelle. We love you, Michelle! Hang in there.
