My name is Brittani, a long time friend of Michelle’s. I felt the need to try and setup a go fund me for her and her son to try and help her financially during this difficult time. Michelle was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia back in may 2024. It's an aggressive type of cancer that required immediate treatment..Michelle went through with the treatment and completed it, and then had a bone marrow transplant December 2024. Update from Michelle: April 2024: to all that have been following. I've currently been in the icu for over 2 weeks diagnosed with hypoxic respiratory failure (can't breathe on my own) Michelle was in the hospital for over 3 months. July 10th 2024 Michelle went for her weekly appointment to Shands, wrecked her car on the way to the hospital in the rain, came home and we were able to get her another car in the meantime to have. July 17th 2024 Michelle went in for her normal weekly apportionment and was admitted to icu with kidney failure. At this moment the doctors are working on a care plan that might include dialysis. We should know more this week. On top of all Michelle’s health problems Medicaid dropped her insurance. I (Brittani) was able to get her a private insurance plan that will cover some medical bills but Michelle will be responsible for co pays etc. we are also working on getting some funding from the hospital funds as well. As you all know Michelle has a son, Lucas. He’s getting ready to start school and is in need of school supplies, clothes, etc. If you are able to donate to her, and Lucas, it would be greatly appreciated.
