Hello, My name is Heather and I am coming to you with a request to help my little sister, Melissa. She is always putting others first and lends a helping hand wherever she is needed. I want to now show her our love and appreciation by helping her in her time of need. Melissa was recently diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. It has been such a whirlwind of tests, doctors appointments, and high emotions. She will be having surgery on August 29 to remove the tumor and 12 inches of her colon. We won't know if chemo is necessary until after surgery. This journey all started with symptoms she was having which turned out to be an infection. The gastroenterologist said if she didn’t have the infection she would have never known the tumor was there. I’m so thankful it was caught early before it had time to spread, but the surgeon said she has had this tumor for a while. My goal, with your help, is to ease her stress and worry of dealing with lost wages and medical bills while she heals from surgery and possibly chemo. We have faith and know God is the ultimate healer and that she is in His healing hands. Thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart for any help you can give Melissa, Allan, and their family.
