On Wednesday, July 5, Melissa Angel suffered a serious cardiac event, similar to a heart attack, while on the way to her grandson's baseball game. Melissa's guardian angels worked hard that day as paramedics were on site in just 4 minutes to rush her to South Shore Hospital where they learned that Melissa has a weakened heart muscle. As many medical professionals have told her and her family over the last week, it is a true miracle that Melissa is here with us today. Melissa has just had a defibrillator placed and will soon be coming home. However, she has a long road of recovering and healing ahead of her. She will be out of work for at least 6 months, and we know in that time medical and other bills will begin to mount.
