Hi, my name is Sierra and I am a co-worker/friend of Melanie. Melanie is a respiratory therapist who takes care of babies in the NICU, adults in the ICU, and much more to help people in need. She is a loving wife, mom, and friend. If anyone knows Melanie, they know she is such a good person with an amazing heart. She has been diagnosed with Neuropsychiatric Lupus (NPSLE) which is causing her lupus to attack her brain and central nervous system. She is having seizures, tremors, and speech delays. It is a very scary time with a lot of unknowns. It is affecting her ability to work and take care of her family. Melanie needs a treatment called Rituxan infusions to help treat the NPLSE and help stop the seizures/tremors. Her doctor's claims for this treatment keep getting denied by insurance and it is, unfortunately, a very costly treatment. I am creating this LFEBridge to help Melanie and her family pay for the treatments she needs to get better. Anything at all helps. Thank you!
