Our friend Jennifer was born with two Congenital Kidney Diseases that are incurable!!! Both of her kidneys are blocked with kidney stones that are too large for her to pass on her own without medical intervention. She MUST have surgery to get these stones busted so she can pass them. She has clusters of stones in each of her kidneys. The doctor will not schedule the surgery without a minimum of $4700 paid in advance. Once she has this amount then they will schedule the procedure for ONE of her kidneys to be treated. Then a second procedure will cost an additional $1850 to schedule the surgery to treat the other kidney. In addition to the above mentioned costs, funds for the post op prescriptions, and parking; and praying there are no complications. She has reached out to the American Kidney Fund, because she is not at “END Stage Kidney Failure”, so she does not qualify for assistance. She recently started a new job after being unemployed for over 3 years (thank you Covid) and is trying her best to dig herself out of the debt she is under due to unemployment. She is working full-time, with a commute over an hour each way and living in pain until these stones are passed. She is single and does not have other resources for assistance. Jennifer is a giver and her heart is pure as she is constantly giving to others. She has exhausted all options for help and as her friend we suggested this avenue. She lives with pain on a daily basis but these stones produce excruciating pain and makes it difficult to do basic activities.
