For over 70 years our father Timothy Medeiros has been a member of the Stonington community. Many people know him from his time growing up, running around the Boro. Others from his time working at the Velvet Mill. Many more from his time down at the docks, where his fishing boat the Susan & Frances II was always coming and going. And then there are those of you who know him as the owner of Captain Tim’s Galley. For many years Tim has also been an active member of Harley P. Chase, VFW post 1265 Men’s Auxiliary, where he has become well known for running your favorite Friday Fish Fry. Wherever you found Tim you were sure to find his wife Sue. Several years ago, Sue was diagnosed with dementia and has deteriorated fast. Thanks to Tim’s tireless efforts Sue is living comfortably but the toll has been heavy, and Tim’s health has declined over the last six months. Since March he has only been home from the hospital for around a month. He is a strong man and will continue to fight to regain his health, but this fight is becoming costly, and his health insurance will only do so much. He is looking at some more time in the hospital and then a costly stint in medical rehabilitation and physical therapy. We are trying to raise money in order to help alleviate some of the financial pressure on our father and get him home so he can be with his love Susan and the rest of his family. We would like to thank everyone for taking the time to read Tim’s story and thank you for any support you can give. Shenna, Jeff, Erika and Miah (Tim’s loving children)
