My name is VickieHannah, Carl Hannah is my husband. As many of you know he's been in really bad shape for the last month. Carl is in need of a double lung transplant, but has a lot of issues right now that prevents that from happening, if ever. Last month he developed pneumonia and had to be placed on life support, his lung collapsed and he had to have a chest tube inserted. We weren't given much hope. Hours, days, maybe a few months. With lots of love, support and prayers God brought him through. He has been in a nursing home since being released from the hospital and had been doing really well until this past week. Yesterday was his birthday and we found out he has pneumonia again. Not a very happy birthday as you can imagine. Now our problem is that his insurance runs out Sunday. The staff all agree that he needs to stay but insurance will not cover it and it will cost nearly $200 a day! Carl is a veteran but unfortunetly not all veterans receive free health care and the price will be about the same and he would be farther away. So though it hurts my pride to ask for help , that's what I'm doing because even though he drives me crazy at times I love him with all my heart and I just want the best for him, We will be married 30 years in March and I can't imagine my life with out him. I want him to get over this bout of pneumoina with no complications which the chances of would be higher if he's forced to come home and not being closely monitered. I don't know if he could survive beng put on a ventiltor again. I want him to come home as healthy as possible. We have our first grandbaby coming in six weeks and he is so excited to meet this baby boy! We lost our twin gransons two years ago so this new baby is such a blessing and a ray of happiness we desperately need. I'm gonna do whatever it takes to make sure that he is here to meet and spoil this baby. Any money raised will go directly to the nursing home to cover the extra time he needs to be treated and recover, if any is left over it will go towards his hospital bill from when he was on life support and in the ICU. I can't imagine what that bill will be like. As always we are relying on our faith, we know God is in control. If you can help, words could never describe how thankful we would be. We are truly blessed with awesome family and friends. If you aren't able to help, believe me we understand stand, times are tough, but you can always help by sharing this link and keeping Carl in your prayers. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this. I know I got long winded, but if you know me you know that's just how I am. Thanks again, God bless!
