Hi. My name is Joanna, and my husband and are having our second baby due 9/1. At her 20 week ultrasound we discovered that she has a congenital hernia of the diaphragm. This means that she has a hole in her diaphragm, and her abdominal organs have migrated in the place where he heart and lungs should be. This is resulting in her left lung being small and her heart has shifted. Our baby will need surgery after birth to fix the placement of the organs. I will be delivering in the medical center where our baby will be given the best care. Our doctors are projecting that she will be in the neonatal intensive care unit for about 12 weeks (possibly 16weeks). Thoughts and prayers are appreciated. If you would like to help financially that would be great as well. Thank you for your support.
