Hi, my name is Gurnit and I am fundraising for my uncle who is in india and is going through several health issues. He has lost his eyesight, have kidney issues. History of events: He had an open heart surgery in 2017 which was conducted on emergency basis. In the year 2018 he was detected with kidney issues but by god’s grace he did not go through Dialysis. He was given some injections to curb the dialysis treatment which cost them a lot. He always had high blood pressure and high sugar level due to which he had issues with his eyesight. He went through multiple minor surgeries for his eyes and in 2024 he permanently lost his eyesight. He never had a health insurance as insurance companies in India don’t provide health coverage to someone with preexisting conditions. The family members pooled in some money to help during the open heart surgery but the continuous treatment and medical expenses has bought the family under a huge debt. Now the family has a debt of $50,000 which includes money from private money lenders, credit card expenses, loan from bank. The family has some property which is for sale and the sale proceeds are expected to be around $25,000. The family wants to raise funds for $25,000 so that they can live debt free. Once they are debt free, they can take care of the ongoing medical expenses as currently most of their money goes towards interest and late fee payments. your donations will help a family to live a debt free life else these debts will keep growing as they have no sources to make the principal payments. Update: Uncle left this world on 10/06/2024 and family is still under a huge debt. He was hospitalized for 2 days before he passed away and family/ doctors tried their best to save him but he couldnt fight his destiny. Any donations/contributions would be used by the family to clear the debt.
