Troy Childress works in Lawrence's Logistics division and has been with the company for over 7 years. Troy's six-year-old son, Miles, was born with bilateral clubfoot and began undergoing treatment when he was three weeks old. Throughout his life, Miles has been wearing braces or casts on his legs and feet. Recently, his family noticed that while the right leg looked good, the left leg still needed more help. Upon seeking a second opinion from doctors at UVA, they confirmed that Miles' left foot requires surgery to correct his clubfoot. As a result, Miles is scheduled to have surgery on August 11th and will have to spend at least six weeks in a leg cast while going to school. His family is in need of a wheelchair to assist him during this time, and they anticipate the expenses to be costly. Just the consultation fee alone was expensive. Despite this, they are committed to doing what is best for Miles and appreciate any support or donations towards this cause. We want to give the opportunity for our Lawrence community to donate to the Childress family to help with the medical expenses for Miles.
