As friends of Barbara's daughter, Stephanie Richards, we wanted to come together and bring support, encouragement, and financial assistance to assist with the medical expenses that have built up from the recent medical diagnosis of Barbara Loud. Barbara Carol Loud. STRONG. A mom who raised fierce kiddos. RESILIENT. She never gave up and never has. GODLY WOMAN. She reads her Bible every morning and night. As her daughter would say, always has... always will. CARING. She was the one who took care of everyone all the time. Barbara is a 62 year old momma who loves camping, gardening, and needlepoint. She has three grandbabies (one getting married in 2024) and one on the way (due in November), and two daughters, and married to her husband (30+ years). In March of 2024, Barbara became increasingly short of breath and was having chest pain. She had some lab work done and found that her D-Dimer (a protein fragment from the breakdown of a blood clot) was elevated. She went on to have a CT Scan (A computerized tomography (CT) scan combines a series of X-ray images taken from different angles around your body) which showed her to have a LUNG MASS. In April, upon further testing, it was discovered that she had additional mets to her bones which included her ribs, sternum, and spine as well as mets to her liver. At the current time, she is navigating through chemo and radiation. With the progression of the cancer, she and her family have also discussed other treatment options. She and her family are cherishing every moment together and opportunity they get to spend together as a family and we would love to be able to alleviate any stressor financially by coming together as a community to support and love on each of them!
