My family and I have been struggling with medical news about my niece. Abigail whitlow we are asking for prayers and more prayers as we start a lengthy journey of unknown territory. Abby is a very young outgoing girl who many may know from working at the pharmacy in Marionville Missouri. She may have even delivered many of your medicines. In her spare time she baby sits, dog sits, house sits, and she helps her mother raise Boxer puppies. Right now she is unable to work and unable to do many of the things she used to. She has lived with asthma for years and on July 5th she made a trip to the emergency room she was unable to breathe. Her inhaler was not working. After an x-ray, AKG, and a cat scan they found a mass the size of a baseball in her chest. The pressure of the mass was pushing on her lungs and attached to the sack on her heart. This day started a devastating nightmare for this young girl. Her world as she knew it was upside down. It has started a very extensive journey for her and her family. July 6th went to a specialist in Springfield. Dr Mica sent over tests and findings of a baseball size mass on her heart and lungs. July 7th pulmonary specialists say they will absolutely not touch and recommend her going to barns July 15th was sent to the ER at Barns in Saint Louis. They had to send her to meet surgeons to figure out the best way to remove the mass. July 27 sent to Saint Louis to meet up for an MRI appointment. July 27th meet with heart lung surgeon to talk about the removal of the mass And schedule surgery. Appointment with Anastasia Dr. For post operation. Surgery will be August 29th minimum of 3 days in hospital if all goes as plan. Minimum of 4 wks of recovery. I'm asking for many prayers and any donations you are willing to help Abby and her family as they have many trips to stay in Saint Louis and hotels, and dinner's because they won't have the comfort of home while in Saint Louis. Anything will help even prayers. Abby has a long road ahead of her and she is very emotional right now it's very hard for a young girl to understand how this has all come about. I will keep you all updated with everything we find out. Thank you for anything you can help with.
