All of us at Maven Beauty love and know Tami Cummings, she is the sister of one of our stylists, Jamie Rommel. While the Maven team has recently moved our location across town, her sister Tami has been a part of this community for many years. Working at Retreat Beauty Lounge located at 42nd and Fremont, as an Esthetician, with her amazing group of friends, she was suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that spread to her liver. Tami has been battling an up-and-down difficult cancer battle ever since. She overcame the unthinkable in her first chemotherapy, radiation and surgery in 2024. She was given the news her tumor had completely disappeared. Unfortunately, this happy news was short-lived and she was faced with it all again, this time with new legions throughout her liver. With the success she had with multiple rounds of treatment the first time, she faced it head-on again with strength and positivity. She again underwent six weeks of chemotherapy, following rounds of intense new drugs that would be painful beyond our comprehension. When the treatment seemed to have gone well, not as well as hoped, it wasn't long till the news came it had spread. Tami recently started her third round of chemotherapy and is heading right back into battle with courage and strength few can understand. This will be the fight of her life, and she will face it with determination and a heart full of love and patience. She has a loving husband, three sons, a daughter-in-law, and her first grandson. As well as supportive family and friends, to cheer her on. Unable to work for the last two years, medical expenses continue to grow. Tami and her husband Levi, continue to be incredibly humble and have never asked for anything. Maven would like to ask our community, which Tami has been a part of for many years, to please help raise money to go toward their medical expenses. With your help, we could make a difference.
