Hi, my name is Zach. I'm a 40 year old self employed (painter, woodworker, etc), from Sarasota FL. Due to the fact that 1 am self employed, I don't have health insurance and only a small amount of savings, in late may, I fell while trying to keep my parent's dog from eating a frog and broke my hip. To make matters worse, it was the night before I was putting my own beloved pup down . I know you may be wondering how a 40 year old breaks his hip, but you'd understand if you knew me I'm somehow the only in the family (I've got 3 siblings) who has broken multiple bones I'm also a type 1 diabetic, which doesn't help. I had to have surgery to put three screws in my hip and was told I'd be out of work for at least 6 months. I have only just now, 2 months later, been told I can just start bearing a tiny bit of weight on my right leg. I'm still two months from returning to work and driving After surgery, I moved in with one of my sisters. She's a nurse ( HUGE SHOUTOUT TO THE BEST BIG SISTER WHO SPENT 12 HOURS WORKING THE ICU and then stayed with me late into the night the day I got admitted to the hospital). My mom and other sister handled packing up my apartment in St. Pete and moving my things into storage. Since I quickly ran out of savings, I was unable to continue paying rent for my apartment and couldn't keep it. The apartment complex charged two (!!) months rent for early termination of lease, even though I was laid up and unable to work. Since then, my family has been bearing the burden of paying for the essentials, my car, car insurance, cell phone, TV (gotta be able to watch baseball, especially my Rays, since I can't do anything else), and groceries. We don't know what the medical bills are as of right now. I'm working with the hospital on the hospital bill. That's in addition to my family paying the two months of rent, moving company, and storage facility to store my stuff. 'd be lost without them and I'd like to be able to contribute to my upkeep. Your generous support will allow me to do so. and its starting to become a burden with not being able to help. Anything will go towards helping with food and power bills, car etc. And would be a huge help. Thank you and I appreciate it!
