Hi, my name is Lisa and I’m asking for funds to help pay medical and household expenses. I thought I was one of the lucky ones that bypassed the effects of Covid however in February of this year I had a stroke while infected with the virus. Took about 3 months to be able to get my left leg to behave. Still have loss of feeling in my foot and haven’t been able to gain full strength back, numbness on left fingers hasn’t gone away and taste hasn’t come back. Because I had balance issues, I fell down on cement and hurt my back. I now have chronic sharp pain running down my right side. The contract job I had ended in March when 40% of the company was cut. Last year I was looking for work and took me 3 months to find something but could only get contract work which left me ineligible to get disability or unemployment insurance. I’ve spent the last 4 months applying to hundreds of jobs and doing many interviews and haven’t been able to get a job. I have run out of savings due to months of not working. Medical bills are looming along and I want to pay my health insurance and home expenses. This is very hard to reach out for help as I have always been self sufficient. I need to put my pride aside and ask for help. Any support you can lend would be much appreciated. I humbly thank you for your support, even words of encouragement.
