It is with a heavy heart that I write this message. My dear friend Donna lost her father unexpectedly on July 10th. Douglas Mclean was a truly kind individual, he adopted the friends of his daughters and anyone who needed a dad. The first time I met Doug he came out to the farm on a Saturday to help Donna and I stack hay. He was there without question and made sure everyone who helped had breakfast after. He leaves a large kilt-wearing hole in the hearts of all who knew him. Below is a message from his oldest daughter, Donna, and I hope you take the time to read her message and consider donating to keep her family safe while they deal with his loss. "Hello everyone, my name is Donna, the oldest McLean sister. In the early morning of July 10th, we lost one of the best people this world has ever known, my father, Doug McLean. Doug leaves behind us 3 girls and his wife of 33 years, Julie. As some of you may not know, my dad lost his job about 4 months ago. This means my parents did not have health insurance and his life insurance policy lapsed. While he had a little bit saved we know medical bills and the cost of his cremation will quickly add up. Because of this, we are asking for the support of anyone who is able during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate financially we do also have a food train active. For those that knew him well, you know Doug was not a fan of funerals, so rather than a memorial service we will host a celebration of life at a later date. Thank you so much, everyone, the McLeans truly appreciate it." Food Train sign-up sheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VQHeT9ODREJhZU9ADU2TBZ9WjAWF0lM68K5k2FkTWj8/edit
