I have known John and Marie for over 25 years. They have been together since the ages of 13 & 15. They are a wonderfully devoted, loving couple & family, with one son Aidan, age 7. John was diagnosed 1 year ago at age 41 with Stage III gallbladder cancer, a rare and agressive form of cancer. He underwent surgery to remove an egg size tumor from the gallblader & one from his liver. He completed 6 mos of chemo only to find on his post treatment scan there is a new mass in the liver. The surgeon had told them that it was not IF but WHEN this cancer would recur, but they had hoped & prayed it would not be so soon. There are very limited treatment options. John and Marie have kept their faith in GOD and a positive attitude through this all. John is always seeing the silver lining and has such a wonderful sense of humor. He is going to MD Anderson in Houston on November 9th to see if he is eligible for a drug trial, in hopes of giving him the best chance of survival. They have so many devoted friends & family who have been there to support them thus far, but now their finances are getting tighter with all the extra expenses and only one income. Please help this amazing, hard working family to cover these extra expenses so they can enjoy their time together & worry less about how to pay for it.
