Update 7/30/2024: Thank you for all the prayers and support, Max continues to get better everyday but it is a slow process. There are a team of surgeons and infectious disease doctors that are keeping a close eye on his progress. Dialing in medication while watching his inflammatory marks has been a daily process. We see God's great mercies every day and we are hopeful Max will be released soon. 7/26/2024: Lyndsay is beyond grateful for the outpouring love, prayer, and support. Max originally underwent surgery on 6/14. He underwent a procedure called Pectus Excavatum, it’s a Nuss procedure. Although the Serpe’s expected a long recovery they could not have imagined the soon to be outcome. Max was in and out of the hospital 6 times with frequent fevers, pain, and vomiting before finally being flown to Salt Lake on 7/23 after spending several days in a local hospital. Max then has undergone two additional surgeries and was diagnosed with MRSA where his treatment continues. The family is beyond grateful for all the love and support they have received so far. Priority #1 is to surround Max and the family in prayers. If it is placed on your heart the reality of medical bills, travel costs as well as loss of income during this time is becoming a reality and anything helps this family as they focus on caring for Max.
