Hi! My name is Mackensi and I am the proud mother of Maven. Maven was, sadly and suddenly, taken from us at 24 days old due to SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) in 2016. Since his death, we have turned our grief into action while working with the Owlet Dream Sock to help raise awareness and aid in SIDS prevention. We worked with the Owlet company to use Maven’s premie size foot as a template for the version 3 sock. After its completion, the Owlet Dream Sock is now equipped to fit premie babies! This sock has helped to alert parents all over the world of their infants respiratory and heart rate. We believe that if Mavens foot would have fit his foot, we would have been alerted that evening and maybe his sudden death could have been prevented. Mavens name is now printed on all smart censors of the Owlet V3 as he helps babies all over the world. You cannot put a value on that type of piece of mind for new parents! All proceeds of this fundraiser will go towards the purchase of the Owlet Dream Sock to award to parents that might not otherwise be able to purchase one!
