On Friday, October 23rd, Matthew suffered a terrible accident while on campus at the University of Delaware. He was hit by a bicyclist, and suffered blunt force trauma to his head. The impact of the fall caused him to go into cardiac arrest, and he suffered a severe injury to his brain. He has already undergone four surgeries: two of them removing a piece of his skull to help with the swelling of his brain, one on his chest, and one on his abdomin. Matthew is still not conscious, but he is a fighter. He has been making small improvements everyday, much to the delight of the doctors and his family. The doctors believe that he will need over a year to recover, which will be a long and expensive process. Please help with this fund, so that we can support Matthew and his family. His mom, Terri, Father Eric, Sister Halli, and Aunt Debbie are all with him in Delaware.
