Hi, my name is Alyssa Proietto, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read what I'm about to share. Earlier this year, my family was given the gut-wrenching news that my father, Matteo Proietto, was diagnosed with Lymphoma and Throat Cancer, and has been fighting like hell ever since. This may come as a surprise for many, due to my family wanting to keep it private. For those who know my father, know that he is a hardworking, funny, and caring man. He went through more than most have growing up, which ultimately shaped him into the strong man he is today. To me, my father has and will always be Superman. Throughout my life, I've watched my dad give to many and never expected anything in return, which is something I will always admire. Throughout 2024, I watched my dad suffer physically, mentally, and financially. Even after receiving his diagnosis, he still continued to work to support his family. However, after months of chemotherapy and radiation, his ability to work diminished. Throughout his treatment, he experienced numerous complications, including infections, decrease in kidney functioning, blood clots, malnutrition, significant weight loss, and so on. One thing my parents have and will never do, is ask for help, especially financial. I have watched the medical bills pile up and have been witnessing the stress that it has been adding to my parents. Hence, why I am creating this LFEBridge page - to try to make as big of a difference in my dad's life as he has in mine for the past 26 years. Any amount you are willing to contribute is beyond the point of greatly appreciated. If you aren't able to contribute at this time, sharing with friends and family would mean the world to my family as well.
