Mark Guzman (Updated 9/15/2024) -Update September: Mark is staying with his youngest brother in Houston now and attending physical therapy multiple times a week. He has been able to get health insurance to maintain his medications as needed, so he is on the right track to getting back on his feet. He gets a little stronger after every therapy session and is now walking with a cane instead of the wheel chair/walker. The Gofund me has helped tremendously, taking the burden of the costs of his needs off of his shoulders for the time being, and he appreciates it all! Mark asked me to update the Go Fund me and leave it open for now. Once Mark is stronger and able, we hope to get him into something he can manage on his own so he can get back to his normal. -Update: Mark has been moved to a therapy floor at the hospital and will be there through the rest of this week to work on getting his strength and mobility back. We have been blown away by the support, guidance, and helpfulness of Mark's amazing circle of support (every one of you!) -My uncle, Mark Guzman, recently had a stroke and because he is self-employed he does not currently have health insurance and is unable to continue therapy. The stroke left him with limited mobility and mounting medical bills. Mark has always been active in the community through his work with the radio station. If you listened to Beaumont Radio in the 90’s you’ve probably heard of the “Cuban Cowboy”. If Mark has ever touched your life, please consider helping in his time of need. All donations will go to help with therapy and his needs as he adapts to his new normal.
