Hi, my name is Cecilia and along with my aunt Gabriela we've started this fundraiser to help my mom Margarita fight breast cancer. For those that don’t know my mom, she is 57 years old and is the smartest, strongest, and hardest working person I know. She is a mother of 4, a brand new grandmother of 2 beautiful babies, as well as a teacher and great friend. Margarita was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Her type of cancer is called “triple negative” and it is aggressive — requiring chemotherapy followed by breast surgery and radiation therapy. After weeks of tests, Margarita is finally on schedule to start chemotherapy in early August. She has a tough and long journey ahead, with mounting medical bills and caretaker needs. Para aquellos que no conocen a mi mamá, ella tiene 57 años y es la persona más inteligente, fuerte y trabajadora que conozco. Es madre de 4 hijos, abuela de 2 hermosos bebés, además de maestra y gran amiga. Margarita fue diagnosticada recientemente con cáncer de mama en etapa 3. Después de semanas de pruebas, Margarita finalmente está programada para comenzar la quimioterapia a principios de Agosto.
