Edit 8/1/2024: Thank you all for continued support and prayers. Mama has fought a long and difficult battle. She started palliative care and will soon be on hospice. She will be passing away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday 8/3 night into Friday 8/4 morning. Any additional donations will go towards end-of-life and celebration of life expenses. We just love her so much and want to make things the best and most comfy for her. On Saturday, July 8, mama Michelle flew to Colorado to visit me (Daphne, daughter). She arrived in excellent health and just a short 15 hours later, was hospitalized following a fainting spell and shortness of breath. At the hospital, the doctors discovered a slightly collapsed lung and low oxygen levels. It is now 2.5 weeks later and her condition has worsened. She now has a largely collapsed lung, has been on a bipap machine, and is mostly bedridden. Doctors still have no idea what the cause of her condition is, so we are having her transferred to a better, more expensive hospital. At this hospital they will be running a series of tests to determine if she is eligible for a lung transplant. She has a long road ahead of her. This LFEBridge is to raise money for the miscellaneous hospital and related expenses: family meals at the hospital, gas/travel money to and from the hospital, copays, etc. I have been working shortened hours so I can spend more time at the hospital with Mama, and Andrew is in his second year of medical school. Unfortunately because of this, we are tight on money and not able to help out to the extent that Mama deserves. Any donations are greatly appreciated and will go 100% towards making Mom’s hospital stay comfortable and as stress-free as possible.
