Hi my name is Cheryl and my Aunt Maggie is moving to assisted living where she can get ongoing care for several chronic health issues. As you may already know, assisted living is very expensive and Maggie is on a fixed income. After being diagnosed with COPD and CHF, Maggie has been adjusting to life managing medications, using oxygen round the clock, and juggling lots of doctors appointments. It has not been easy for her. And our family along with the help of Maggie's kind and caring roommate Shari have been doing our best to make sure she has the support she needs. This includes help getting to or from appointments or the hospital, med checks, encouragement, and ideas about how to improve her quality of life. We are trying to raise enough money to address an anticipated shortfall financing her stay in the new assisted living facility in Columbia. The move is scheduled for August 4. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It would mean one less thing she has to worry about while she focuses on regaining her health. She would be able to breath better literally and figuratively in the hands of skilled care givers who could provide continuous monitoring and much needed medical attention. Thanks for taking the time to read this. And many blessing to you however much you can give. Your help means everything. Sincerely, Family and Friends of Maggie Black.
