On Wednesday, July 12th, Maddison Schwenoha was in a vehicle collision on Los Osos Valley Road. The accident caused major injuries that required her to be transported to Stanford Medical Center for treatment. Many of her injuries are requiring surgery, as well as a long hospital stay, and there will likely be many months of rehabilitation. Even with health insurance, the family is going to require help to get Maddie past this and be able to afford to help her during her surgeries and recovery. Maddie is the daughter of Kym and Varian, who are known to many in the community as 'Teacher Kym' and the 'Hayward Lumber Guy'. The Schwenoha family is a fixture in our small town and active in the community. They are often seen volunteering, coaching, supporting and participating in community events. Please consider returning the kindness by donating to this wonderful family in their time of need. Funds collected with go to Maddie and her parents to help with medical costs, as well as expenses incurred while having to be in Stanford.
