When a person chooses to start nursing school, they do so selflessly. They understand their time, life, and choices will revolve around their schooling. Haley Brennaman made this choice, like most of us, and as we all know support is one of the most crucial pieces of the puzzle. Unfortunately Haley has lost one of her biggest support systems unexpectedly, her mom, Julie King. While we as friends and co-nursing students will never be able to replace the love Haley lost when her mother passed, we can band together to help support her in any way we can. For this reason I ask that each of us band together to give her some financial support in this time of difficulty. Whether you are able to donate five dollars or fifty, pulling together to support her financially will provide her the time she will need to get back on her feet. She will be missing lectures, exams, some clinicals, and work and when she comes back she will be struggling to catch up all while mourning. The money we raise together will go towards covering her finances for the month, such as rent and extra necessities so Haley can focus on on her family, studies, and herself without having to rush back to work.
