In the afternoon of Sunday, July 30, our beloved friend Matthew Cotten passed away in his home, surrounded by his family from pancreatic cancer. The loss was sudden, after a difficult hospital stay, and is felt deeply by all who love him, even as they hold onto the faith he had in the resurrection and hope of reunion one day. Matthew leaves behind his grown children, Erin, Caitlin, Jeffrey and his wife Romy. But he also leaves behind his two "bonus babies," Ethan and Jacob, who are his grandchildren he has been raising alongside his wife, Genene, since the death of their father (Bo) in 2016. His loss is felt keenly by those who loved him, but especially Genene, Ethan and Jacob, who are still in the middle of growing up and have lost much in their young lives. We love you, Matthew. Please join us in helping to support Genene, Ethan (17) and Jacob (15) during this time of grief and challenge. All contributions will go directly to Genene, Ethan and Jacob and are received with deep and sincere gratitude.
