We are Loretto UK (www.loretto.org.uk), a Christ-centred community of young Catholics, with a heart for whole-hearted hospitality, a desire for personal encounter with Jesus and a call to make disciples. Our mission is to create welcoming spaces where people can encounter God and deepen their relationship with Him in prayer and worship. We disciple young people to become passionate and formed followers of Jesus, grow in their identity and be shaped as leaders to be sent and follow God's plan for their lives. Over the past three years, we have touched countless lives through our worship nights, prayer gatherings, outreach programmes and community events out of our Loretto HOME Mission Base in Twickenham. Now, we face a financial challenge due to soaring energy & gas prices over the past 15 months. During a formal appeal against the disproportionate high gas costs to the company (over 1,500£/ month), Elisa and Wolfgang have contributed personally to keep the rent affordable for the young people living in the HOME. We have explained the mission of the house and how the high costs are not sustainable - yet the gas company has decided against any kind of support besides allowing us to cancel the contract. We have since sourced another contract which is one-third of the price. We urgently need to raise £6,500 (one-off) to sustain our operations and continue our ministry.
