Laura Wade, Mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend. Live, for the moment; laugh, daily; love, forever and ever and always!!❤️My mommy Laura Wade wished for me, her pride and joy and her own miracle, Cynthia Megan Weiss. In 2011, my mommy, was in severe pain, she wasn't supposed to have children, but she did, she had me! She made the decision to get her tubes tied and did; but she was told that she needed to get a total hysterectomy. She did. She felt better. We lived a normal life. Until this past August. My mommy decided to get back in shape. She started working out 5 days a week. Starting her 3rd week she thought she pulled a muscle in her lower back. So she took a break from exercising. She couldn't sit, stand, or lay down in any position without agonizing pain and discomfort. But my mommy kept on going. She just started a part time job, after making sure my daddy was better. (He had two back surgeries this year and ended with him getting six screws in his lower back.) They both lost their jobs due to this. She continued and still continues to drive me and my boyfriend to and from school. She takes us to the beach as often as possible, because that is her zen. She takes us to Universal Studios and Sea World with our annual passes. She's slow and has to rest often but she still continues. She contacted a gastroenterologist and got a colonoscopy done. My grandma went with her, once it was done the doctor knew something was wrong. He rescheduled my mommy's follow up appointment 3 days after and it was confirmed that my mommy has Rectal Cancer. Even the oncologist is impressed with this. It is rare, due to no family history, my mommy's age (43) and the location, it is on the sphincter muscle. It is stage 2, which is good, and it has not spread anywhere. The only logical option is surgery. With this surgery my mommy will have to have a colostomy bag for the rest of her life. My mommy's spirit is awesome, while I and my daddy's are still in shock. With both of my parents on an extremely fixed income and having a teenage girl. We are asking for donations to just get by with the co-pays, future supplies, gas, and some unexpected weekend excursions to keep up our spirits and lead a normal life. Her surgery is November 18th and will be in the hospital for about 5 to 7 days. Then home recovering with a home health care nurse stopping by. The hopeful recovery time is 4 to 6 weeks, the getting used to the colostomy bag and every day life. I, Cynthia Weiss on behalf of my family, ask for prayers and a little help through this time ❤️
