Hello family and friends. As many of you know Retired Master Sergeant, Luis Gutierrez who dedicated 40 years of his life serving our great country in the United States Army, underwent his 12-hour duel lifesaving transplants on August 1, 2024, for his liver and kidney. He is currently recovering in the post-surgical unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Los Angeles. As Luis continues to fight and recover from this he will be in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for up to 3 months. During Luis's 3 month stay at Cedars, his wife Fella will be on family medical leave which will cause financial hardship for the Gutierrez family. Once Luis is cleared for discharge he will have to continue to make twice-weekly trips down to Cedars in Los Angeles for a year. This means hotel stays, 14 plus added hours a week of driving time to and from Cedars Los Angeles and added food expenses. As many of you have asked how you can help, this is a way that could help ease our stress during this trying time. We are so thankful for your continued support and prayers. Luis spent 40 years serving and supporting us, now it's our time to serve and support Luis and the Gutierrez family. #ArmyStrong If it is more convenient for you, you can always support us via Venmo or Zelle via the provided information below.
