Hello my name is Meagan, on behalf of Daniel in his current situation I am asking for your help to make his life a little brighter. Here is his story... Daniel Tanguay has had ten beyond difficult medical years of health issues. It all started on his 18th birthday. It began when he was diagnosed with an hemangiopericytoma, a rare tumor on his brain. Which took 3 excruciating and lengthy surgeries to remove it. Then followed by 27 radiation treatments. Daniel, the warrior persevered and got back on his feet in no time, a real trooper. At the age of 22, he studied to be an electrician and graduated from school at 23. Three days prior to his first job in this trade, the sarcoma returned and he was diagnosed with cancer on his spine and needed immediate surgery. The surgeons removed the tumor in his neck and put plates in to secure the damage that this tumor caused. That procedure took 18 hours to complete. After the surgery, Daniel headed back to radiation treatments like a trooper. Another 25 treatments at the hospital. Unfortunately he lost his ability to resume his trade as an electrician because of the limited mobility in his neck. He had to find a plan B regarding his career. Once again, another huge hiccup fell upon him at the age of 26. Back to the operating room to re-enforce his neck and reduce his chronic pain. Following that recovery he enrolled in an IT Network Administration program that took 14months and successfully completed the course. Now at the age of 28, Daniel has started working full time in an adapted chair as an IT Cloud technical support representative for a international company called OVH Cloud. He thrived in his position and was permitted to work from home on his way to success. A random CT scan in June of 2024 showed recurrence of cancer and the necessity for emergency surgery due to broken hardware in his neck, the reason for his chronic pain and suffering. He underwent his surgery on Friday July 14th, 2024 to have his neck fused and is now recuperating at the Montreal General Hospital recovering. The next step is the chemotherapy treatments he will be faced with in a few weeks. He has always been positive and strong throughout his lengthy battle, but now it is time to make his life a little bit easier and help him with his future and reduce his stress. Let's all get together and donate whatever we can to help him for his future endeavors. The main reason Daniel continues to get through these difficult situations is his loving family that is always by his side and his friends that are so caring and supporting through everything. Six life threatening surgeries later and countless radiation treatments, he continues to combat this horrible disease with his positive attitude. Daniel is a true fighter and warrior, ten years later and he still remains the positive kid he was at 18. You got this Daniel! Keep fighting, we love you. Only the strong survive.
