On October 6, 2015 life as we knew it was turned upside down.   After not feeling well for a few days, Jim Lightbody was diagnosed with acute AML Leukemia and admitted to a Dallas hospital for treatment.  Jim is a loving husband to Wanda Ligthbody, son, brother, father and grandfather to several adoring grandchildren.  Those who’ve met Jim know he’s very involved in the churches he’s been affiliated with and communities he’s lived in.  He is a very caring person who will go out of his way to help you if needed. Jim is fortunate that his job offers health insurance and his workplace has been tremendously supportive, but he will need to take extended time off for treatment. His treatment has been hard and has taken some unexpected twists and turns.  The medical expenses for the extensive treatment he is receiving are starting to add up.  While Jim thinks about the future, no planning could prepare him for this life altering event. So many people have asked what they can do to help—if everyone pitches in, even a small amount, we will be able to help Jim and Wanda get through this with some of the resources they need. Jim and Wanda are very appreciative of all the prayers and support their friends and family have provided and ask that you continue praying for Jim’s recovery!
