Dave Paoletti and my sister, Sally, have been married for 41 years. Dave has been a diabetic since the age of 16 and despite taking good care of his health, the side effects of this incurable disease has resulted in kidney failure. After more than three years of receiving dialysis treatments three times per week, enduring multiple medical procedures and being prescribed numerous medications, Dave received a donor kidney on July 10, 2024. Unfortunately, Dave has reentered the hospital this week due to complications from the transplant procedure with no end in sight. Please keep Dave in your thoughts and prayers. With escalating healthcare costs such as insurance premiums, deductibles, co-pays, medications, etc., these last several years have layered an unfathomable amount of financial debt on Dave and Sally. This is in addition to the tremendous medical expenses incurred due to Sally's successful fight with breast cancer during this same three-year period. At this point in their lives when they would have otherwise been debt free, living on a fixed income and enjoying a simple life in the suburbs of Pittsburgh-- the debt incurred due to Dave’s illness is completely overwhelming. Dave’s recovery from the surgery and his body’s acceptance of the transplanted kidney will take time and resources. The physical and emotional stress on both Dave and Sally has become indescribable. Let’s help Dave and Sally by donating and decreasing this financial burden. No donation is too small. Thank you in advance and please share this with all your friends!
