Hi, my name is Heather Hensel, and I'm asking friends, family, and the community for help raising money for my son Cody Hensel. He was in a motorcycle wreck and was taking by ambulance to U of L Hospital. He ended up breaking both arms. He broke his left Humerus bone. They did surgery Thursday, adding 1 plate and 8 screws. He broke his right Radius bone. They they did surgery Friday, adding 1 plate and 8 screws. Dr said he will have therapy in 8 to 12 weeks after his bones heel some. He has nerve damage in his left arm where right now he has almost no function in moving his fingers. He was released from the hospital and is now at his home. His girlfriend and I will be taking turns staying with him while we both work. The money being donated will be put towards his house payment, groceries, electric bill, water bill, medical expenses and anything else he may need while he is recovering for the next 6 to 12 months. Cody has been on his own and working hard for over 9 years doing what he loves. He's a very hard worker in the rain, snow, and heat. He will get back out there once the Dr's release him from care.
