Hi, this is a very hard thing for me to even consider asking for, but- Many of you know and love my baby, Lenka, and you know how loved and cared for by our family and friends she is. She's the absolute love and joy in our lives, and I am so grateful for everyone who is helping me to raise her. We recently left a difficult situation- one that I tried very hard to work with and improve for a very long time- but ultimately had to accept that it was the best option to remove ourselves for Lenka's safety and well-being. Due to the aggressive response of the other party involved (who is considerably more well-off financially than I am), we have had to take this matter to court. As her mother and her primary caregiver since her birth, I am seeking to retain full custody of Lenka, as I feel it is the best option for her considering her age and the conditions of the environment we recently removed ourselves from. Any legal representation other than a public defender is far beyond my means at this time, and I feel that this is a case that requires the utmost attention and time of whoever may be assigned to it. If this had been a friendly parting with a reasonable person whose interests are only what is best for Lenka, we would not be finding ourselves in the extremely trying situation that we are currently in. I am incredibly grateful for all the help I have already received from my community, and it pains me to have to ask for anything more after receiving so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for whatever you can contribute, and for the contributions already made. I wish I could articulate how comforting it is to know that despite the current circumstances, Lenka already has such a supportive and loving community. It means the world to me.
