Hello, my name is Bailey. My sister Randi and I are creating this go fund me on behalf of our mom, Laura Lea. For the majority of our mom’s life, she has suffered from Chronic Kidney Disease resulting in her body running off of 1 low functioning kidney. This kidney has been steadily declining and in the past year had quit completely. She began Peritoneal Dialysis in October 2024, which has made it difficult for her to live life as she normally would. She has patiently waited for a kidney transplant and on July 8th, 2024, she finally got THE call. A MATCH! Her and my dad quickly packed some things and rushed to the London hospital to begin the kidney transplant process. Now that she has had the surgery, she will have a lengthy stay in London while she begins the recovery process which will be a significant financial impact (accommodations, travel, medical expenses, ect.). So, we are asking for your help. My parents are very generous people who are always willing to help but they never ask for help when they need it. My sister and I just want my parents to be able to concentrate as much as possible on recovery and less on the financial stress. We would like to firstly thank the donor and their family for giving my mom back her quality of life, and also thank you all for you support and kind words during this journey!
