***RECEIVE A FREE CODING WORKSHOP WHEN YOU DONATE*** Hello, my name is John and I am launching the first coding school in Trenton, NJ! WE HAVE ALL OF THE PIECES NOW: 20 computers donated from TDI corporation ✅ Office space donated by Base Camp Trenton ✅ 6 teachers ready to go ✅ Python coding curriculum ✅ All we need now is to raise money for marketing! #TrentonMakes Trenton Makes Tech: The first Coding School in Trenton This LFEBridge is for Trenton Makes Tech. We must start from the beginning and teach people how to build products before they can build companies. Growing up, there has always been a great art community in Trenton, but I see no startup or tech community! I truly believe that creating a tech and startup culture is the key to bringing prosperity to Trenton. As many know, the startup world has never been bigger. Young kids are raising $500K+ Seed investments with the help of programs like Y Combinator. We are now going to bring the world of startups to Trenton. Additionally, one of my favorite things about the computer programming world is that you don't need a college degree to become a brilliant programmer, or to land a great job in the tech industry. Cutting-edge companies like Google and Meta often interview candidates by giving them problems to solve. They also frequently ask candidates questions like: "What products have you personally built to change the world?". This is considered far more important than where someone attended university. My Background: I am from central New Jersey and have been in the startup industry for 8 years from launching and operating a startup company of my own called ULimo. My Mother is an Italian-American from the original Chambersburg, Trenton. My Father was a Trenton Firefighter for 27+ years! I have an undying love for our capital city. It has been hard to watch it lie in ruin throughout my life. Especially after it's incredible history of innovation and manufacturing. Companies like the John Roebling factory built the first wire-based bridge suspension cables. The cables on the Golden Gate Bridge were actually built right in Trenton! That is why I will never stop this journey of mine to resort the meaning of #TrentonMakesTheWorldTakes and bring prosperity back to Trenton in a new way through startups and technology. Furthermore, Trenton would be perfect as the next startup / innovation hub! We are the same distance to NYC as Palo Alto is to San Fransico. That is why I have long believed that central New Jersey is the #EastCoastSiliconValley. I also believe this because of the incredible energy and work ethic that people in New Jersey possess. If we work together to spark the startup culture in Trenton it will take off like wildfire!
