This year has been a most challenging year for us. In February, my grandmother had a stroke. My wife and I had to take on a much larger role in both of my grandparent's care. Along with some changes in both of our jobs, we have been maxed out financially. Neither of us has any sort of insurance, as any offer we looked into would cost too much for us to afford, at the moment. Well, as seems to be the case for so many people, the perfect storm has left us in a bad position. Recently, over the last month, Lara has had some issues with her teeth. She had a lot of work done back in 2004, and that cost a whole lot of money. Unfortunately, we are in a similar situation, but we are unable to pay to finish the work. The most pressing problem is her need for a root canal and crown. She's been in a lot of pain, but has continued to work and take care of everyday responsibilities. We were able to get a cleaning done, and get her some antibiotics and pain meds to prepare her for the procedure, but we are only going to be able to pay for a fraction of the cost. The dental plan laid out for her has a total cost of $4,000, while the root canal and crown together only costs $2,000. If we can raise that much, it will be enough to deal with the immediate problem, and for that we'd be eternally grateful! However, if we could raise the full amount, we could go ahead and take care of the other work, which would be some fillings, and resin to protect some of her other teeth against further issues. Lara has had a history of weak enamel, and a lot has already been done to protect her front teeth, as well as have her wisdom teeth removed. The bottom line is, we have done all we can in the recent past, but we are met with another challenge. Again, my wife and I are both employed, and we are doing all we can on our own to take care of this matter, but as I have been told all my life, if you need help, don't be afraid to ask. So, with great embarrassment and pain to my personal pride, I would ask that if you can give ANY amount to this cause, we would be more than appreciative of your support. Lara's first appointment is November 6th for the root canal, which is $1,000. We would set up other appointments in the future as we are able to afford them, which without help could be a very long time. THANK YOU, and God Bless!
