Our dear friend Jeffery Dalton was a victim in an awful accident on October 20th, 2015. Jeff was conducting a routine traffic stop on 146 in LaPorte when an oncoming driver in a Tahoe, allegedly tending to her infant, veered out of her lane striking Officer Dalton's car. The driver of cause then struck Dalton from behind causing his head to smash the windshield of rhe Tahoe and then hit the officer again with the back corner panel as it spun around throwing the Officer to the ground. Officer Dalton was rushed to Memorial Herman as his wife Amberly was notified by fellow officers of the accident. The officer sustained head and back injuries that are continuing to be assessed for levels of severity.Officer Dalton is a highly regarded officer, husband, father of 3 beautiful children, all around family man and member of his community. His wife Amberly is finishing up her business/accounting degree, and is a stay home mom, member of the PTA, cheer mom and active member of the community. When Officer Dalton is not tending to his much loved family he is working normal patrol as well as many extra jobs to make ends meet for his family. Although he has walked away from this accident with no life threatening injuries, bless the Lord, he and his family will face the hardship of him being out of work while he attempts to make a full recovery. His precious wife Amberly is doing her best to care for him and the children as he heals but all are left with the worry of medical bills and living expenses due to Jeff being unable to work for a while. Lets all come together and help this family who has been there for all of us! The only worry they need to focus on right now is Jeff getting the rest he needs to heal and Amberly the peice of mind to continue to push forward for her husband and children.
