Landen was in Washougal for the Amateur races last week and wrecked during a practice on Thursday. He made the call that it was serious and he needed to go to the hospital. We ended up rushing him there with pain on his left side. The scans showed a grade 4 injury on his spleen, a grade 5 injury on the left kidney, and a small injury to his pancreas. The first procedure stopped the bleeding and he went through 2 more to try and save the kidney. We just spoke to all the Dr's and he is going to need the kidney and spleen removed. We've exhausted all options, both are so badly damaged neither are able to be saved. His surgery is tomorrow and it may be another week before he's discharged. We want him on the road to recovery and home ASAP. We know how much he is loved by everyone and want to say Thank You so much for all the love and support!
