After a back injury in April led me to get an MRI in June, a lung nodule was an incidental finding that made one health problem become two completely different struggles - on top of the fact I was told in March 2024 by my surgeon at Moffitt Cancer Center that the leg hardware from the 2011 transplant is failing and I was already attempting to find time for more surgery to get a new rod and screws by the end of the year. There are currently two fractures that are not healing properly and this influenced the fall in April where my back was injured. Because of the downtime and time off work associated with physical therapy, numerous imaging appointments and doctor visits - I am having multiple surgeries by the end of 2024. I am seeking help from friends, family, and their friends and family to help me through healing and recovery so we don't lose our home or struggle any more than we have to. The goal for this fundraiser is an estimate for these few months while I am off my feet after lung procedures, physical therapy for the back injury, and hardware replacement in my leg. This fundraiser has been helping me with so much missed work, medical bills, and a meal plan delivery system for the weeks that I won't be able to cook after surgery, pain, and invasive procedures. If it wasn't for the donations in July, my son's birthday wouldn't have been anywhere as great as it was since I had a total of 12 days of doctor's appointments and missed work so thank you guys for EVERYTHING! <3 Anything and everything helps, and in return for all donations, I will write personal thank yous to every hero who helps along the way and a promise to pay it forward!
