UPDATE: Ty had surgery Friday, August 4. 2 rods and 6 pins were put in his neck. Today (Saturday August 5) they took the catheter out and OT & PT came in and sat him up on the side of the bed. Although painful, Ty pushed through and did what was asked of him. The doctors are saying he is nothing short of a miracle. During surgery they put in little monitors to show what was receiving signal and everything looks good except his left hand from the wrist down. They said he could possibly regain feeling once more swelling on the spinal cord goes down but aren’t 100% sure on what the final outcome will be. Please keep praying, Ty has a very long road to recovery but by the grace of God, Papa and all of your prayers he will get there! Again, thank you so much for all the contributions! UPDATE: Ty’s surgery was moved to Friday August 4. As of today, Thursday August 3, they are doing a stat MRI because they are noticing a decrease in mobility. Depending on what it shows, he may go into surgery this afternoon. Please keep the prayers coming! We have also been told he will be in the hospital for at least a week after the surgery is completed. Then moved to an inpatient facility in Tampa for who knows how long. The King family has a LONG road ahead of them. Thank you everyone for your donations. It is not going unnoticed Hey everyone, as most of you know we are not typically a family to ask for help. Within the last week we have lost the man who held us all together, Papa (Tim). While trying to process the loss, another tragedy hit our family, (King) family. Saturday Ty (15) was involved in a horrible accident leaving him with a broken neck, c5 & c6. Ty is currently at All Children’s Hospital in St. Pete awaiting surgery tomorrow 8/1/2024. They are hopeful the surgery will restore all movement as are we but they have also prepared us for worse case scenario. As of now ty has absolutely no grip or feeling in his left hand/arm. The King family in expecting months of physical therapy and trips back on forth to any and all doctors to give him the best care possible. The money raised would be for any medical bills left over after insurance and gas/hotels as needed. Anything helps and it is greatly appreciated!
