Hola, my name is Erik Carlos Toren. I am 53 and for most of my life, I suffered from diabetes (since when I was 20 years old). I have lived most of my life in South Texas. Married a wonderful woman, Katy, and we have one child, Ixchel. Seven years ago I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease, which led to six years of dialysis. Thankfully, with God's grace, I received a kidney donation on July 7, 2024. For now, I am recovering and eventually hoping to get back to work. I find myself at a fork in my road. I need to put all my saved funds and wages into medicines and make sure I take care of my new kidney. The money I had saved to purchase a new car will go into health. My car and my wife's cars are almost 15 years old. Reaching that time to consider more reliable transportation so I can go to my medical appointments. I am seeking to purchase a base automatic car to maintain low debt and to do that I am fundraising to get a good downpayment. I will seek different fundraiser methods to earn the money and LFEBridge is a component of that. Any funds you provide are greatly welcomed and helpful! I will update you as this project moves along.
