Hi, my name is Renee Stephens and I am fundraising for Tom & Kim Bass and family as they face Kim's cancer journey. I met Kim many years ago when we both attended the same Bible study in Greensboro. We quickly became close friends and even roommates for a while. Kim is one of the most caring people I have met and I enjoyed having a front-row seat when she and Tom started dating and later married. Their love and care for each other is evident to all. Kim has received the news of a stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis, which has metastasized to the bone. She recently had to have 2 liters of fluid drained off her lungs and her pain level has greatly increased. Due to the progression of her cancer, Kim is no longer able to work. Over the years, Kim has helped so many people in her career as a physical therapist. Those treated by Kim have felt her genuine care and concern. I remember her often researching to learn more and find ways to better care for those with unusual cases. Tom has also always helped others - first through personal training and currently through physical therapy. Kim's faith has been evident throughout this trial and they have been hesitant to ask for any help. However, my desire is that we will be able to lighten the financial burden and stresses of this journey so that Kim and her family can better focus on Kim's care and enjoy their time together more. Your contributions will help with doctor visits, scans, medications, and treatments, as well as their family's essential needs.
