My name is LaKesha Johnson and I am the sister of PFC LaVena L Johnson, who died while serving her time in Balad, Iraq nearly ten years ago this past July. (Link here for those that have not seen this: The Silent Truth Documentary -( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGJpmLuIaJw )I decided to use this picture attached as my profile picture from when I first moved to LA, three years ago and my journey just began. Little did I know, three years later, my journey would end abruptly because I got seriously ill; serious case of depression and anxiety based on emotional stress from grief which caused me to be hospitalized for nearly two weeks. I had a lot of friends support me with constant visits and fellowship - and if it wasn't for God's Grace, who knows where I would be. Maybe I wouldn't be here to share this story. But I am grateful for these trials and tribulations, only because this is now part of my testimony, which is growing everyday as a part of my healing.Know I am fast tracking on healing, but I needed to take a leave of absence from work and seek counseling from a Grievance/Bereavement service, which can be costly. I hope I am not asking too much, but I decided to seek community support financially so I can continue my healing process, cover medical bills and attend counseling services next month if possible, if not for the next few months.I thank you for anyone who is willing to assist and I would love to share my story to those who are unaware of my recent illness/hospitalization and discuss dealing with losing a sibling. It is hard, and only a person who has lost a sibling before would truly know what it is like - but I am here for any one who just needs support, even though I am still on a healing journey myself.God Bless and lets go on this journey together! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or if you would like any more details on my healing journey. With love and grace,Kesha
