Our sweet, sweet friends found out last Friday, July 21st that their little girl, Kennedy, was diagnosed with advanced stages of retinoblastoma in both of her eyes. The doctors have been absolutely wonderful and have created an aggressive treatment plan in hopes that they can save both of Kennedy’s eyes and also stop this cancer from spreading anywhere else in her body. With this, they will have to travel to Miami every 4 weeks over the next year or so for Kennedy to get an eye exam and receive chemotherapy. They will be required to stay a couple of days to ensure Kennedy is responding well to treatment and ensure she has no side effects. The amount of love and support the Wood family has felt over this past week has been incredible. Their hearts have felt lighter through everyone’s encouragement and prayers. They want to express that they will truly never be able to say thank you enough or tell you how much it has meant to them. First and foremost, they just ask for prayers for the future of their sweet girl as they navigate this scary and unknown journey ahead. So many people have been reaching out to help with the added expenses of travel, medical bills, meals, etc. If you are able, any donation would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you for your generosity and kindness to this sweet family. ❤️
